What we observe in potential team members:
Education: S.S.W, D.S.W, P.S.W in related field, or proven equivalency by an accredited college or university. Current First Aid, Pharmacology, CPR, NVCI (CPI), and WHMIS. Valid G class driver’s licence is required.
Working knowledge and skills: Knowledge in supporting people with ageing population and healthcare, intellectual disability, aggressive behavioural challenges, autism and other disabilities. Knowledge in developing and facilitating Individual Support Plans in cooperation with Support Networks. Experience fulfilling leadership roles, providing personal care and working with families in the planning and delivery of supports. Knowledge of employee responsibilities in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Act. Proven ability to present an image of professionalism and have a positive impact while promoting an environment of quality customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience administering and managing medications.
